What strategies have you and your group used to ensure that all members are actively contributing to group assignments? Explain how you communicate, divide responsibilities, and hold each other accountable throughout the process.

Prompt: To make sure everyone stayed on track, we started by breaking the project into smaller tasks and assigning them based on what each person was best at, like research or slide design. We kept a constant group chat going to check in on progress, which made it easy to ask questions or give feedback without it feeling too formal. If someone started falling behind, we’d just reach out directly to see if they needed help, which kept everyone accountable and ensured we hit our deadlines without any last-minute stress. Summary: Today we worked on a writable assignment. Reflection: I improved my ability to write and edit.

What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Prompt One of the main challenges we faced was finding credible sources that didn't just repeat the same basic information, so we had to spend extra time digging through academic databases to find more unique perspectives. When we disagreed on which articles were actually useful, we hopped on a group FaceTime to talk through the pros and cons of each source until we reached a consensus. By staying in constant communication over text and being open to each others' ideas, we were able to filter out the weak sources and build a much stronger argument together. Summary: Today we worked on a writable assignment and our sources. Reflection: I improved my ability to write and edit.

Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

Prompt: One of the most compelling issues in my research on the Global War on Terrorism is how difficult it is to define "terrorism" across different countries, which makes it hard to create a unified international strategy. I find this really important because if world leaders can't even agree on who the enemy is, it's almost impossible to stop long-term threats or protect people effectively. Summary: Today our group looked at all of our sources and picked what ones we though the best. Reflection: I improved my ability to look over sources and decide what ones were better than others.

How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

Prompt: Completing the annotated bibliography helped me realize that my topic is more complicated than I thought because different sources focus on different causes. I noticed that most of my sources agree on the main problems, which helps me connect my ideas to create a stronger argument. This makes it easier to write my paper since I already know which evidence fits together to prove my point. Summary: Today I finished my bibliography.  Reflection: I improved my writing ability throughout this process.

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

Prompt: The evaluation part was the hardest because I had to figure out if the author was actually an expert and if the info was biased. This challenge made me better at checking sources instead of just trusting everything I read online. It will help my research paper because now I know how to pick the strongest evidence to support my main points. Summary: Today we worked on our bibliography. Reflection: I improved my ability to write my annotated bibliography.

As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

prompt: By looking at different sources, I saw how people’s opinions change based on what they care about most, which showed me there isn't just one right answer. Seeing these different sides helped me realize the issue is way more complicated than it looks and made me think harder about which facts actually matter. Summary: Today we worked on finding our sources for the research paper. Reflection: I improved my research skills.

Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Prompt: Using GALILEO was different because it gave me access to peer-reviewed articles and actual databases instead of just random websites from a basic Google search. By using specific filters and Boolean operators, I was able to find way more credible sources that made my research paper much stronger. Summary: Today we did research on galileo for our research paper. Reflection: I improved my ability to find strong sources.
