Summary: Today in class we looked at our vocab words and Native American culture and what type of stories they told.

Reflection: I learned many different new words, such as the definition of a myth. I also learned what Native American stories were mainly about, it seems like they told a lot of stories that were based on true things that happened but then they evolved into something more fictional. This impacted me by helping me learn now things about the Native American culture and giving me new information to study for the vocab test we have due in two weeks. I will use this knowledge to help better my vocabulary and knowledge about Native American and their way of life.

 Prompt: One time I faced a risky situation was when I was learning to drive on a busy road. Cars were flying by, and I had to stay completely focused to avoid an accident. I kept my eyes on the road and followed every direction carefully. My focus helped me stay calm and safe, and it showed me how quickly things can go wrong if you lose concentration. Just like in Robert Frost’s poem. Summary: Today in class we went over the poem "Out, Out" by Robert Frost and annotated it. Reflection: I learned more about Robert Frost and got to analyze one of his pieces of poetry that I had never read before.

Describe one thing that makes you different from other people.

 Prompt: One thing that makes me feel different is hanging out with family and friends. I also enjoy playing sports or other hobby's I have. But, it's always the best to get to hang out with some of the people who I know care about me. I find happiness in being with the people who love me and building more and more memories over time with these people is something that makes me feel different. Summary: I was absent but we did an identifying theme worksheet. Reflection: I learned how to identify better than I was before.
